Welcome to Pryor Creek
Pryor Creek or Pryor is the county seat of Mayes County, Oklahoma, United States. Originally named Coo-Y-Yah, Cherokee for “place of the huckleberries”, it was renamed Pryor Creek in 1887 which was the name of the local railroad station, which in turn was named for the nearby creek. Due to confusion in distinguishing handwritten mailing addresses to Pryor Creek and Pond Creek, the U.S. Postal Service name for the city was shortened to Pryor, and both names are in common usage. Pryor Creek is along the path of the Texas Road cattle trail, and the later Jefferson Highway of the early National Trail System, both roughly along the route of U.S. Route 69 through Oklahoma today. Pryor is host to Rocklahoma, an annual music festival located 4 miles (6.4 km) north of town.
The Coo-Y-Yah Museum is housed in the old Katy Railroad Depot, operated by the Mayes County Historical Society, and contains various Native American and pioneer exhibits. In February 2018, Google announced a $600 million expansion to their data center in Pryor. The investment was to build a new four-story data center, which brought Pryor to be Google’s second largest data center in their operations. We welcome you to Pryor and we welcome you to Jack & Mary’s Eastside Cafe.
Great food and service
This is the place to go for good home cooked meals. The cook is fantastic and the waitresses are all superb. Mary, the owner is the sweetest lady and will greet you with a smile. The food is soooo good. The ham on breakfast is the best and a good portion. Sometimes, I wish she had chicken and dumplings. But everything is good. Stop in and try them, you won’t regret it.
Great place to go for a down home breakfast. The Garbage Breakfast is a large stick to your ribs kind of meal. Delicious!
Best breakfast around and reasonably priced. The only place this far north that makes good grits.

Love this place!
The service was quick and friendly. We got our food super fast and was hot and correct. It also tasted delicious! It’s very reasonably priced and better than any “chain” restaurant. I will definitely be back.
